Carbohydrates are my Fuel:
Carbohydrates(CHO's) are the energy stores in muscle cells. These energy stores are used every time an athlete exerts any physical activity. It is critical that the athlete has these carbohydrates stored for use during a practice, game, or any demanding physical activity. Athletes need on average 5 grams of carbohydrates per Kilogram (Kg) of body weight per day. To calculate the amount of carbohydrates you need per day, divide your body weight in pounds by 2.2 (this will tell you your body weight in Kilograms/Kg). Next, multiply your body weight in Kg by 5 to learn how many grams of Carbohydrates your body needs per day. Click HERE for the Sport Shake Fitness Calculator. |
