Did you ever think about how dehydration can hinder athletic performance? Well it can! Even the smallest amount of dehydration can impair concentration, coordination, reaction time, reduce stamina, and compromise the body's ability to resist disease. To decrease the chances of the body becoming dehydrated, it is important to drink fluids (ideally water) before, during, and after intense exercise.

To calculate the amount of water your body needs per day, use this: Multiply 0.6 times your body weight in pounds and that will equal the minimum amount of H2O you should consume per day.
